BUILD 2019 | Bulawayo, Zimbabwe – Event Summary by Jocelyn Sery

Greetings to you all.

The 2019 Build Conference in Bulawayo was a great success with an attendance of around 600-700 pastors, church leaders and their wives. The challenge was specifically aimed at the two generations present. First, at the generation who had witnessed the move of God in the ‘70s and ‘80s, and second, at the generation who had not. The latter were those who grew up during the time when the gospel gradually became corrupted and when the Church lost the power of God. Brother Miki challenged the older generation to realise what they had left behind and the younger generation to desire to see what they had never seen.

The message of the cross was powerfully shared. Little shadow of doubt was left between the words and phrases used. Every word brought clarity and light to the gospel that for anyone listening it was impossible to deny the evidence of such truth. Brother Miki spoke with great conviction and the audience hung on every word from beginning to end. Many shouted loud ‘amens’ in true African style showing their agreement, while others even took the liberty of briefly commenting on key passages. Throughout every session there was a warm atmosphere, regularly punctuated by heart-felt responses.

The conference lived up to its expectations and promises much follow-up work for those living in the region. Please pray for all that will need to be done, and continue to support the Lord’s work. The Build Conference Bulawayo 2019 has certainly lived up to its name. Each servant of God left with a clear revelation of God’s plan for his life, as well as a great challenge. May we pray that they rise to it with the help of God’s grace.

Don’t forget to generously support events like these. They are unique opportunities to store up treasures in Heaven. You won’t find a better investment plan! The Kingdom of God may not be listed on the stock exchange but it is founded on the faithfulness of a God who became poor for a time so that we might be rich forever. Let’s remain committed and involved because harvest time is fast approaching and the Lord is coming back soon. Be blessed in the same measure that you make sacrifices. Amen!
