BUILD BULAWAYO

Day 1 & 2

After months of preparation, the BUILD conference in Bulawayo has arrived.

On the first day 500+ leaders registered and gathered under the tent, pitched on the field of the White City Stadium.

Pastor Miki Hardy’s opening message set the tone, urging leaders to feel the ‘Wind of Change” coming to the church today. The second session was a continuation of this message where he spoke about “The Call to Change.”

On the morning of day 2 there were more registrations and 650 leaders crammed in together under the tent.

There were loud amens and hallelujahs as he challenged them during the two preaching sessions of the day.

There was a special move at the end of the day’s meetings, where hundreds of leaders, humbled themselves before the Lord in repentance seeking for a fresh start.

Honourable Minister of State for Bulawayo Province Judy Ncube gives an interview.
Pastor Miki Hardy expresses his thoughts on the first 2 days of the conference.

Day 3 & 4

News has travelled fast and registration figures have once again climbed. Today there are over 850 delegates in attendance.

Pastor Miki Hardy addresses a hot topic in the church. He labours through his two sessions exposing the spirit of legalism prevailing in the church today and with great clarity demonstrates how we, Christians, under the New Covenant, should have nothing to do with the law and precepts of the Old Covenant which were meant for a specific people at a specific time: the Jews!

The day ends with Pastor Peter McKenzie making a special exhortation to the older generation of leaders to take their place, to not be deterred by their age and that God will continue to strengthen and equip them.

The last day of the conference has arrived and the tent is as full as the day before.

Pastor Miki Hardy’s closing sessions emphasize the importance of having a united family, especially as a servant of God.

Reading from 1 Timothy 3 he explains how as ministers we can disqualify ourselves from the ministry. Unless we are united with our wives and have a household that is in order, how can we begin to think of taking care of the church?

He takes the time to speak to the men present and declares with great conviction and under many loud “Amens”: “ If we want to be men of the spirit we need to learn to humble ourselves and be the first ones in our couple to put things right, even if we are not in the wrong”.

The conference is closed with great gratitude given towards the Lord for his fresh revelation given to all who attended.
